ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY keeps going strong in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.
Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.
More than just being one of the best-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the music that defined generations — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.
In January 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.
Ask Alexa “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.
Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.
In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.
What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to go independent.
He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”
He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas discount tickets sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.
Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
